The oldest thermal spa in Bormio at over 2,000
years old, with 6 different areas and various thermal treatments,
located on the slopes of Monte Reit.
Thermal treatments at the Bagni Vecchi, Bormio

Bagni Romani: in use since the 1st century BC,
fed by nine different springs with natural mud and sulfur
bacteria.

Bagni Medioevali: this reinvigorating area,
with waters rich in natural mineral salts and sulfur bacteria,
is home to the famous stube, wood lined rooms popular in Bormio
but originally from Northern Europe. This area is located in
the medieval fortress section of the building.

Bagni Imperiali: built in the 1800s and
renovated in 1997, this area tones and improves circulation
thanks to hydromassage pools and waterfalls.

Grotta di San Martino: known as the grotta
sudatoria ('sweat cave') and created in 1827, this is a natural
steam bath and a tunnel carved into the rock where there is a
hot water spring. Divided into 4 sections: Tepidarium,
Calidarium, Laconicum and Frigidarium.

Bagni dell’Arciduchessa: so called as they
were reserved for the Archduchess of Austria, reinvigorating
for the skin, with saunas and outdoor relaxation areas.

Piscina panoramica all’aperto: an area for
relaxation, with hydromassage jets and 38° - 40°C water. There
is also a sun terrace where you can admire the views of the
Rhaetian Alps.
