Mountain Biking in Bormio and the Stelvio National Park
Bormio is in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, the area
does not just attract road cyclists, but also mountain bikers
(and now fat bike enthusiasts too!), who can enjoy woodland
trails and itineraries and routes ideal for mountain bikes.
Routes for families, along paths of easy-medium difficulty, and
also for more experienced bikers, including technical itineraries
and difficult climbs. You can find the right mountain bike
trails for you, alongside Alpine lakes and through high mountain
pastures.
Mountain Bike trails in Bormio

Around the Cancano lakes: around 20km, this is
one of our most famous cycling itineraries, suitable for
everyone. Cycle alongside the lakes and past the historic
Fraele towers.

Val Zebrù: another itinerary suitable for all
levels, with sections for pedalling. From Bormio to the
Baita del Pastore, all within the Stelvio National Park.

Bormio 2000: some harder sections, followed by
an easy route that starts with an unpaved road and then a path.

Bormio 3000: Are you an expert mountain
biker? Then this is the place for you, with a healthy
height difference and a difficult climb.

Alpe Boron: A medium diffìculty route from
Bormio via Isolaccia along paths and trails.

Forte d’Oga: Cycle along an unpaved road to
Oga, with a climb that requires a certain level of fitness,
then continue on the Venini fort along a paved road.

Pedemontana: This well-known route can't be
missed off the list. Start along a cycle path, then
continue along unpaved paths and trails along the 'Pedemontana
del Reit', the mountain that dominates the Bormio skyline.
